Rising gun violence compelled me to join Moms Demand Action in 2022. Within my first year of volunteer work for the Texas Chapter, I accidentally (true story) rose to leadership roles using my background in media to cultivate change. My work within the organization spans writing, official spokesperson for media relations, policy breakdown, localized membership verification, as well as being a lead organizer for Bexar County. In 2023, I had the honor of being a group lead for Advocacy Day at the Texas Capitol.
